A Woman of Light and Sky
By E.S. Wynn

I was saving myself for a woman made of light and sky. Soft pale and cerulean dashed with feathered gray. She, a falcon of concept, a hawk reflection. Caught, the eyeblink awareness, the upward curve of smile. Her heart, full with Odin’s thunder, the soft touch of Freyja’s light, passion. Her heart, colored, colored like deep eyes, soul like wings, wind, rain. The light of saints in sky, wrapped in cloud. I blink, she smiles; the wind sings the notes of cut obsidian, loved saxophone. Hands; thin, strong, cool, alive.

She still flies. I look to the sky.

Nothing.
