Cold One
By Melissa L.Webb

I am the Cold One
I feed upon you
I rob you of your warmth
I rob you of your soul
I make you love me
You think I am here only for you
But I am the Cold One
An ice princess
And I use you for your warmth
You take my cold hands into your warm ones
And you hold me to stop the shivers
But soon you are the cold one
With the ice cold hands
And for a brief moment in time
My palms are hot
With the stolen warmth
Of your body
I leave you, cold and alone
An icicle in a December’s morning
I freeze your heart
Then shatter it into millions of ice slivers
I am the Cold One
And I care for no one
Except the cold

    Good poem. Great imagery!!

  2. Loved the poem. It is why we geeks exist, to be destroyed by women like the one in the poem.

    It made me chuckle. :-)
